Hyderabad: The TES-47 award ceremony for 22 officer cadets undergoing training at the Cadets Training Wing took place at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad on Friday.
Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, AVSM, VSM, Commandant of MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, presented medals and distinctions for excellence in academics, sports, physical training, outdoor training, weapon training and drill.
Wing Cadet Captain Rahul Kumar received the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Gold Medal during the TES-47 award ceremony. Meanwhile, Wing Cadet Adjutant Ayush Singh Bisht received the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Silver Medal. Wing Cadet Quarter Master Shivam Yadav secured the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Bronze Medal.
Arjun Platoon, known as “The Apaches,” secured the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Banner for the Spring Term 2026.
TES-47 award ceremony honours cadet excellence
Addressing the cadets, Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney said four years of rigorous training had transformed them into confident leaders. As a result, the cadets could now operate and lead independently.
He urged the cadets to continue working hard and prepare for challenges in technology-driven warfare. Additionally, he referred to lessons demonstrated during Operation Sindoor.
The General Officer advised the cadets to embrace delayed gratification and maintain professional competence throughout their careers.
Later, he asked the cadets to uphold the motto “Karm Hi Dharm” and serve the nation with commitment, integrity and dedication.
TES-47 award ceremony concludes with exhibition visit
After the ceremony, the Chief Guest visited the Arts and Photography Exhibition at the campus.
The exhibition showcased the creative talents of the officer cadets. Subsequently, Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney interacted with parents and family members of the cadets.
Faculty members, military officials and families of the cadets attended the programme at MCEME in Secunderabad.
