Hyderabad: Two Telugu women from Telangana died in a tragic road accident in the United States. This information was shared by their families. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Sunday, US local time, on a curved road near Alabama Hills.
The victims were identified as Pulakhandam Meghanarani (25) from Garlapadu in Mahabubabad district and Kadiyala Bhavana (24) from Mulkanoor. Both had moved to the US three years ago. They completed their MS degrees and were actively seeking employment at the time of the accident.
The two were among a group of eight friends travelling in two separate cars to a tourist destination in California. Their car veered off the road at a bend. It plunged into a gorge, resulting in their deaths on the spot.

Family members back home were devastated upon learning of the incident, which has cast a pall of gloom over their villages. Local authorities in the US are investigating the cause of the crash.
Efforts are underway to bring the bodies back to India, with assistance from Indian diaspora groups and consular officials.
