Hyderabad: The Telangana Police Academy on Wednesday organised an interactive Fit for Life session to promote lifelong health and physical fitness through sustainable and goal-oriented activities, including running.
The session featured Dr. Madhumathi, Joint Secretary of the Hyderabad Runners Society, and marathon coach Subham. They interacted with participants as part of the Academy’s ongoing fitness initiative.
Dr. Madhumathi highlighted the Hyderabad Runners Society’s work in promoting health, fitness, community engagement and advocacy. She also explained the organisation’s structured approach to helping runners train safely and progressively.
Fit for Life encourages sustainable fitness goals
Meanwhile, Subham gave an overview of the 15th edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon. He outlined the training schedule, preparation process and key features of the marathon programme.
The speakers said marathons provide meaningful fitness goals that encourage discipline, consistency and healthy habits. They added that these benefits often continue well beyond the event itself.
The session reinforced the Academy’s Fit for Life philosophy of building resilience and lifelong fitness through sustainable physical activity and goal-based training.
