Hyderabad: Telangana DGP Shivadher Reddy launched the state’s fraud ka full stop cyber safety campaign and said alertness remained the strongest defence against online crime. He opened the six-week awareness programme organised by the State Cyber Security Bureau to improve digital vigilance.
The campaign will run across Telangana under the title “Fraud Ka Full Stop.” During the launch, the DGP said cyber offences affected both poor and wealthy citizens. He noted that many victims suffered losses due to greed and urged people to stay cautious while using digital platforms.

Shivadher Reddy said cybercrime increased nationwide last year. Telangana, however, reported a decline. He attributed the drop to greater awareness and steady public cooperation. He asked citizens to report suspicious activity and follow basic safety steps while handling online transactions.
Police teams will conduct outreach sessions through the fraud ka full stop campaign. Officers will explain frequent fraud methods and guide residents on simple preventive measures. The DGP said sustained education would help protect households from growing digital risks.
