Telangana Endowments Department warns public against fake recruitment notification

Hyderabad: The Telangana Endowments Department issued a warning against a fake recruitment notification circulating online for 190 Executive Officer posts in the department.

Officials said the fake recruitment notification appeared on several websites and online platforms claiming that contractual recruitment was underway in the department.

Deputy Commissioner (Services) D. Krishna Prasad wrote to the Information and Public Relations Department seeking an immediate public clarification on the misleading advertisements.

According to the department, the fake advertisement mentioned online applications, written examinations, interviews and contractual appointments. The notification also carried the government emblem and the department’s name to appear genuine.

Fake recruitment notification sparks cyber complaint

The department clarified that it had not issued any recruitment notification for 190 Executive Officer posts. Officials described the circulating advertisement as fake, fabricated and misleading.

Authorities warned that the fake notification could mislead unemployed youth and innocent job aspirants.

Further, the department lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime Police seeking legal action against those responsible for creating and circulating the fake advertisement.

Officials advised the public not to trust or respond to such online advertisements. They also urged candidates to verify recruitment details only through authorised government channels and official departmental websites.

The department said immediate public awareness was necessary to prevent misinformation and protect job seekers from fraud.
