Hyderabad: A man died in a Choppadandi road accident after an RTC hire bus collided with a motorcycle near Gumlapur X Road on Thursday.
Choppadandi SI Naresh Reddy said the accident occurred when an RTC hire bus travelling from Mancherial towards Karimnagar hit a bike coming from the opposite direction.
Police identified the RTC hire bus with registration number TS02UD7080 and the motorcycle with registration number TS02EN5884.
According to police, the biker was travelling from Karimnagar to Kishan Rao Peta in Velgatoor mandal at the time of the accident.
The rider died on the spot following the collision in the Choppadandi road accident.
Police identified the deceased as Sappa Tirupati, son of Ramulu.
Choppadandi road accident case under investigation
Police shifted the RTC bus and its driver to the police station after the accident.
Officials later moved the body to the Karimnagar Government Hospital mortuary for postmortem procedures.
Police also informed the deceased person’s family members about the incident.
SI Naresh Reddy said police would register a case after receiving a formal complaint from the family.
