Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy approved a ₹60 crore Telangana Gurukul schools fund to meet urgent needs in residential schools and colleges.
The fund will help Gurukul institutions manage small repairs and emergency expenses. It removes the need to wait for separate approvals. Officials said the move ensures smooth operations and uninterrupted facilities for students.
Special allocations for each society
The government allotted ₹20 crore each to the SC and BC societies. Minority and ST societies received ₹10 crore each. Schools and colleges can now use this money to handle emergencies and essential works.
Later, when the government releases regular funds, societies will return the used amount to the special account. This process will keep the fund active for future needs.
Faster response to Gurukul needs
Officials said the new fund helps fix minor issues like water, lighting, and building repairs quickly. It also supports immediate requirements such as classroom maintenance and student amenities.
They added that the initiative improves administrative speed and strengthens facilities in Gurukul institutions. As a result, students can study and live in better conditions.
