Hyderabad: Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday announced Tatipamula development works worth more than Rs 23 crore in Suryapet district. The initiatives include two new school buildings and a Rs 16-crore check dam-cum-bridge. In addition, the minister announced 80 Indiramma housing units for the village.
Uttam Kumar Reddy visited Tatipamula, his ancestral village, and addressed a large gathering of residents and childhood friends. During the visit, he paid tribute to his late father, Nallamala Purushotham Reddy. The minister said his family’s roots in Tatipamula had inspired the latest development push.
Tatipamula development works include two schools
Uttam Kumar Reddy announced a Rs 2-crore primary school building with funding from Telangana GENCO. Moreover, he directed the District Collector to ensure completion of the building before the next academic year.
The minister also announced a new Zilla Parishad High School building at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore. CSR funding will support the project. In addition to the educational infrastructure, Uttam Kumar Reddy announced a Rs 16-crore check dam-cum-bridge.
The Tatipamula development works also include 80 Indiramma housing units for eligible beneficiaries in the village. Tatipamula falls under the Thungathurthi Assembly constituency and not Uttam Kumar Reddy’s home constituency of Huzurnagar.
However, the minister assured residents that he would continue supporting infrastructure development in the village. Meanwhile, local leaders submitted petitions seeking additional housing for the area. They also sought the establishment of a regional fire station.
Uttam Kumar Reddy assured continued support for local infrastructure while outlining the educational, housing and connectivity initiatives planned for his ancestral village.
