Hyderabad: The Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and Dell Technologies have joined hands to train 5,500 students in emerging technologies under the uDaan programme.
The initiative aims to prepare Telangana’s youth for technology-driven jobs and connect skills with employment opportunities. Students will undergo a structured three-month training programme across 25 centres in the State.
The memorandum of understanding was formalised at a meeting in the Secretariat on Saturday. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu led the meeting.
Senior government officials and representatives of TASK and Dell Technologies participated. Programme partners were also present during the formalisation of the agreement.
Training will cover Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Electronics Manufacturing, Emerging Technologies and Digital Skills. The programme will also provide industry exposure and develop employability capabilities among students.
Special emphasis will be placed on extending the opportunities to students and youth in rural areas. The initiative seeks to widen access to technology skills relevant to industry requirements.
The programme aims to prepare students for employment while they are still pursuing their education. It seeks to move job preparation closer to the education process instead of waiting until students graduate.
Telangana youth to get industry-focused training
The uDaan programme has been designed as more than a standalone training initiative. It aims to create a pathway connecting education, skilling, industry exposure, employment, apprenticeships and entrepreneurship.
Students will receive technical training along with exposure to industry requirements and job-readiness skills. The initiative seeks to provide multiple pathways after training, including employment and apprenticeships.
Entrepreneurship will also form part of the programme’s broader approach. The objective is to equip students with relevant skills and opportunities while they continue their education.
Training will follow a curriculum developed by IIT Delhi. Dell Technologies will provide technology support for the programme.
By combining technical skills with industry exposure, TASK and Dell Technologies aim to improve employment readiness among participating students. The programme will cover 5,500 students through its network of 25 training centres across Telangana.
