Talasani Srinivas Yadav clarifies stance in Jubilee Hills by-election

Hyderabad: Major political parties are treating the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election as a battle of prestige. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) nominated Maganti Sunitha, wife of late MLA Maganti Gopinath, as its candidate. The ruling Congress named Naveen Yadav through the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

The contest turned interesting after reports confirmed that Naveen Yadav is related to BRS leader and former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. This family link sparked speculation over whether Talasani would back his own party or his relative from Congress.

Talasani Srinivas Yadav ended all speculation. Speaking to the media in Secunderabad on Friday, he said his family relation with Naveen Yadav is separate from his political loyalty. “I have not joined any other party. I remain with BRS,” he said firmly.

Talasani confirmed that he had guided Naveen in the past but ruled out supporting him now. “I am a BRS MLA. There is no confusion about my stand,” he stated. He added that he joined party leader K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in a protest against RTC bus fare hikes this week and continues to take part in every BRS event.
