Talasani slams Congress govt over HILTP land allotment in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: BRS leader and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav slammed the Congress government for diverting prime industrial land through the Hyderabad Industrial Lands Transformation Policy (HILTP). He made the allegation during a tour of the Sanathnagar industrial area with MLC Naveen Rao and MLAs Mutha Gopal and Kaleru Venkatesh. During the visit, he said the policy had opened the door to a “₹5 lakh crore scam.” He also stated that the BRS would continue its fight against what he described as anti-people decisions.

He pointed out that the plan covered 87.31 acres in Sanathnagar. Moreover, he said the government proposed a rate of ₹6.31 crore per acre. Market prices, however, ranged between ₹43 crore and ₹45 crore per acre. Because of this gap, he alleged that a few individuals would gain unfairly. He added that 21 locations across Hyderabad held 9,292 acres for similar allotments. Consequently, he argued that the move ignored public needs and weakened industrial development.

Talasani intensifies push against HILTP land allotment

Talasani said the policy diverted valuable land in the name of transformation. Additionally, he noted that the identified parcels carried high commercial value. Therefore, he demanded transparent procedures and fair pricing. He argued that the Congress government favoured select groups, which damaged long-term planning. As a result, he vowed to expand the BRS campaign. His remarks highlighted valuation gaps, the land scale, and what he called an organised attempt to bypass market rules.
