Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Sunday said Bonalu captured the spirit, pride, and resilience of Telangana as he offered Pattu Vasthralu to the presiding deity at the historic Sri Akkanna Madanna temple in Haribowli.
Participating in the Ashada Bonalu festivities on behalf of the State Government, Sridhar Babu described the festival as the soul of Telangana’s cultural identity, rooted in centuries of devotion and collective tradition.
He said Bonalu’s rituals and celebrations – spanning Golconda, Secunderabad, and Lal Darwaza – reflected the region’s deep spiritual strength and showcased its unique folk heritage to the nation and beyond.

The temple, he said, stood as a symbol of Hyderabad’s historic and cultural continuity. Offering silk robes there, he added, was a moment of personal fulfillment and state recognition of enduring faith.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to preserving these traditions and said Telangana, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, would continue to support cultural practices while pursuing excellence in IT and industrial growth.
