Sravan Dasoju claims Congress acts only under BRS pressure

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Sravan Dasoju on Monday alleged that the Telangana Congress government was functioning only under BRS pressure and lacked proactive governance.

Addressing media persons in Hyderabad, Dasoju claimed the administration led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had turned into a “reactionary government”.

He alleged that several recent government decisions came only after pressure from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and its president K. Chandrashekar Rao.

According to Dasoju, the release of Rythu Bharosa funds, acceleration of paddy procurement and review meetings on the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation project happened only after BRS protests and campaigns.

“This is not governance. This is mediocre political panic management,” he remarked.

He further accused the Congress government of lacking administrative seriousness and long-term vision.

Congress under BRS pressure, alleges Sravan Dasoju

Dasoju alleged that the government depended heavily on media management, publicity campaigns and diversion politics instead of independently addressing public concerns.

Referring to the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation project, he claimed the government remained inactive for several months.

However, he said the administration responded only after BRS announced a Padayatra on the issue.

The BRS leader asserted that despite being in opposition, the party continued to influence Telangana’s political and governance agenda under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao.

According to Dasoju, the Congress government was merely reacting to opposition pressure instead of taking independent policy decisions.
