South Central Railway GM inspects Ayodhyapuram coach factory works in Kazipet

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Thursday inspected construction progress at the Ayodhyapuram coach factory in Kazipet.

Travelling from Secunderabad in a special coach, Srivastava held discussions with divisional railway officials at the Kazipet VIP lounge. Warangal Collector Satyasarada Devi and Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy submitted representations outlining local issues.

The inspection covered multiple units under construction, including the Periodical Overhauling Unit, Wagon Manufacturing Unit, Coach Factory, and Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) facility. Srivastava stated that works are progressing swiftly and are expected to conclude by December.

Interior and ancillary works are scheduled for completion by the end of the financial year, after which the factory will become operational.

Later, the GM reviewed station redevelopment works under the Amrit Bharat scheme at Kazipet railway station.

Land donors for the Ayodhyapuram project met Srivastava during the visit, requesting employment for their families at the upcoming facility. Srivastava assured them the matter was under review.
