Hyderabad: Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Danasari Anasuya Seethakka congratulated a young sailor from Telangana for representing India in international sailing competitions.
The athlete, who studies at Rainbow Homes, met the minister at the Secretariat and sought her blessings.
She represented India in international sailing competitions held in Oman and Singapore.
The sailor also delivered notable performances in several national and international events.
Young sailor set for Morocco competition
The athlete will represent India once again in an international sailing competition scheduled in Morocco next week.
During the meeting, Seethakka appreciated the sportsperson for bringing recognition to Telangana and the country.
The minister said Telangana youth achieving success at international platforms was a matter of pride for the state.
Seethakka also assured continued government support for talented young sportspersons.
She wished the sailor success in the upcoming Morocco competition and hoped she would return with victory.
