Mothukupally Gram Panchayat secures 3rd rank at National Panchayat Awards

Hyderabad: Mothukupally Gram Panchayat in Vikarabad district secured third rank at the National Panchayat Awards. As a result, it earned national recognition for governance and sustainable rural development.

The Gram Panchayat, located in Kotepally Mandal, received the honour at a ceremony in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Rajiv Ranjan Singh, popularly known as Lalan Singh, presented the award. Union Minister of State S.P. Singh Baghel also attended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Vikarabad District Collector Deepak Tiwari and Mothukupally Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Baindla Amruthamma received the award on behalf of the Gram Panchayat.

The National Panchayat Awards recognise outstanding performance by Panchayati Raj Institutions across the country.

Under the theme “Panchayat with Good Governance,” Mothukupally Gram Panchayat received the prestigious Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP).
