In Telangana breaking news, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy shared a meal with a beneficiary family of the Sanna Biyyam scheme, personally reviewing their welfare and satisfaction with the programme.
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited a fine rice beneficiary household in Khammam on Sunday and participated in a community meal alongside the family, as part of his outreach to assess the impact of the government’s Sanna Biyyam (fine rice) scheme.
During the visit, he inquired about the wellbeing of the family and specifically asked how they felt about the quality of the Sanna Biyyam being provided. Tulasi Amma, a member of the household, expressed contentment, stating that the family had little interest in earlier distributions involving coarse rice, but now finds the fine rice far more useful for their daily needs.
The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to ask whether the household was receiving other welfare benefits such as 200 units of free electricity and the subsidised gas cylinder under the ₹500 scheme. In response, the family confirmed that they are availing these services.
Tulasi Amma further shared that the free bus travel facility offered by the government has been especially helpful for their family, and appreciated the administration’s efforts in implementing multiple beneficial schemes.
This direct interaction is seen as a move by the Telangana government to ensure transparency and responsiveness in the delivery of welfare initiatives. It reflects the administration’s commitment to understanding ground realities and making improvements where necessary.
