The Chief Minister plans to direct officials to move families from flood-prone areas to safe shelters. He will also review emergency relief measures, food supply, and healthcare arrangements.
District administrations in Telangana have stepped up operations since Tuesday night as heavy rains continue. Overflowing streams, damaged roads, and flooded colonies have disrupted daily life in several districts.
Montha cyclone causes heavy damage across Telangana
The Montha cyclone, which earlier hit Andhra Pradesh, changed course toward northern Telangana and southern Chhattisgarh. Its impact has battered Hanmakonda, Warangal, Siddipet, Nalgonda, Mahabubabad, and Suryapet.
Authorities announced school holidays in affected areas. Meanwhile, the Dindi stream overflowed and washed away part of the Srisailam highway, cutting road connectivity. Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams, along with local police, began clearing debris and helping families trapped by floodwater.
