Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the “most dangerous person” for the country. He also called on Communist parties to join Congress in defeating the BJP-led government at the Centre.
Revanth made the remarks at a memorial meeting for veteran Communist leader Comrade Sarampalli Malla Reddy. During his address, he alleged that the BJP had adopted new electoral tactics after failing to win public trust through democratic means.
Revanth Reddy attacks Modi while alleging that the Union government targeted voters considered opposed to the BJP. He claimed authorities were deleting such names during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
According to the Chief Minister, SCs, STs and minorities were the main targets of the alleged exercise. He accused the BJP of using the SIR process for political purposes.
Revanth Reddy attacks Modi over alleged vote deletions
Revanth alleged that the BJP was attempting to replicate in Telangana a strategy that it had used in West Bengal. He claimed the party was systematically removing anti-BJP votes from individual polling booths.
Moreover, the Chief Minister alleged that the BJP had conspired to delete one crore votes in Telangana. He claimed private agencies were conducting surveys to identify voters and facilitate the alleged deletions.
Revanth also accused the BJP of using the Election Commission to advance its political agenda. At the same time, he questioned the BRS over its silence on what he described as “vote theft” during the SIR exercise.
The Chief Minister appealed to Communist parties to support Congress in its campaign against the alleged deletion of votes. He said defeating Modi would also amount to a victory for the Communists.
“We should be united and fight against Modi in the country. Elections and fundamental rights of the poor are different aspects,” Revanth said. He also urged Communist parties to help protect the voting rights of poor people.

Revanth praised Communist parties for their long struggle to secure the rights of the poor. He said the “Red Flag” had provided underprivileged people with reassurance and confidence.
The Chief Minister also referred to various laws enacted for the welfare of poorer sections. He claimed Congress had addressed several issues that Communist parties had raised over the years.
Meanwhile, Revanth recalled Sarampalli Malla Reddy’s contribution to farmers and public life. He said the veteran Communist leader had risen from a remote area to the national stage.
According to Revanth, Malla Reddy had dedicated his life to farmers and possessed a deep understanding of their problems. He also praised the Communist leader’s cultured and articulate approach while raising issues concerning the farming community.
The Chief Minister described Malla Reddy’s death as an “irreparable loss” to farmers. “Our government will strive to address farmers’ issues by keeping in mind the books Malla Reddy wrote and the points he raised,” Revanth said.
He also said the government would consider establishing a memorial for the veteran Communist leader. However, he said a decision would be taken after consultations with his Cabinet colleagues.
