Hyderabad: Hyderabad will host a three-day Raksha Expo from December 7 to 9 as part of the Telangana Global Summit–2026, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju said. The city will also host an Air Show on December 9.
Jaju reviewed the Expo preparations at a meeting at the Secretariat on Thursday. He discussed defence and aerospace company participation, infrastructure, security arrangements and publicity. He also reviewed other issues related to the event.
Meanwhile, Jaju said nearly 30 per cent of India’s defence and aerospace industries operate from Hyderabad. He described the city as a major hub for both sectors. He said the Raksha Expo Hyderabad would help expand these industries and attract investments to Telangana.
Jaju directed officials to invite leading national and international defence, aerospace and arms manufacturing companies. In addition, officials will hold promotional roadshows in Hyderabad on October 24 and New Delhi on October 29.

Jaju said the State government was prioritising defence and aerospace sector development. He also noted that the government was developing an airfield strip in Adilabad district.
Further, he directed officials to bring industry bodies such as FICCI, ASSOCHAM, SIDM and MSMEs into the Expo. Public and private sector organisations from the defence and aerospace sectors will also participate.
The Raksha Expo Hyderabad will facilitate business interactions and buyer-seller meetings. It will also create opportunities for marketing, MoUs, startup collaborations and seminars.
Meanwhile, Jaju directed officials to invite DGPs from all States to the Expo. He cited the ongoing modernisation of police and paramilitary forces across the country while issuing the direction.
In addition, he ordered officials to launch an extensive publicity campaign across Hyderabad. The campaign will use standees at prominent locations, short films, brochures and social media platforms.
The preparations covered company participation, infrastructure, security and publicity arrangements. Officials will hold the first promotional roadshow in Hyderabad on October 24, followed by the New Delhi event on October 29.
