Rajnath Singh to review Air Force Academy graduation parade on June 13

Hyderabad: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will review the Air Force Academy graduation parade at Dundigal on June 13.

The ceremony will mark the completion of pre-commissioning training for Flight Cadets of the Indian Air Force.

The Combined Graduation Parade will feature cadets from the 217th Course of the Air Force Academy.

Rajnath Singh will serve as the Reviewing Officer. He will confer the President’s Commission on graduating cadets.

He will also present Wings and Brevets to cadets of the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. Trainees from Vietnam will receive honours as well.

Air Force Academy graduation parade marks women cadets’ commissioning

The ceremony will mark another milestone for the armed forces.

The first batch of women cadets from the National Defence Academy has completed branch-specific training at the academy.

These cadets will receive their commissions during the event.

Rajnath Singh will also present the President’s Plaque to the top-performing cadets.

The award will recognise excellence in the Flying stream, Navigation stream and Ground Duty branches.

The Air Force Academy graduation parade remains one of the most important events in the Indian Air Force training calendar.

It marks the transition of cadets into commissioned officers.

Aerial displays will be a major attraction during the ceremony.

The Su-30MKI fighter aircraft will participate in the programme.

The Sarang Helicopter Display Team and the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team will also perform.

In addition, fly-pasts will feature the Pilatus PC-7 Mk II, Hawk, Kiran and Chetak aircraft.

Furthermore, the Indian Air Force will stream the Air Force Academy graduation parade live on its social media platforms and DD National from 7 a.m.

The event will highlight the training standards and operational capabilities of the armed forces.

It will also celebrate the achievements of the graduating cadets.
