Hyderabad: BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the State would build Young India Integrated Schools across Telangana and prioritise innovative learning for students. He spoke during a Telangana Rising Vision-2047 discussion on welfare departments at the Global Summit. Ministers Adluri Laxman Kumar and Azharuddin joined him on the panel. Ponnam said the government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, was advancing SC, ST, BC and Minority welfare through focused plans on education and skill development. He added that meaningful growth was impossible without supporting communities that form more than 80% of the State’s population.
Ponnam said the government would expand quality education, skill training, employment avenues and reservation support for these communities. He said future initiatives would also prioritise higher education and foreign education opportunities. Moreover, he said the government would adopt suggestions from experts who attended the summit. He added that reforms in the education sector had already begun, including enhanced diet charges to ensure nutritious meals for students.
Minister stresses quality education as a pathway to long-term development
Ponnam said quality education remained the strongest support the government could offer to poorer families. He said education enabled communities to rise to higher social and economic levels. He cited the recent caste survey, which showed that families with higher education achieved stronger progress. Because of this, he said the government placed education at the top of its priorities. He added that shaping future generations required a firm commitment to improving learning standards across the State.
