Hyderabad: Revenue, Housing and Dharani Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the government would provide Indiramma houses in both villages and towns. He spoke at the Secretariat on Friday and said the administration wanted to support all families without homes. The minister added that the government launched several welfare programmes for the destitute after taking office. He said they took full responsibility for allotting houses to every eligible beneficiary.
He said construction of Indiramma houses would continue for the next three years in rural and urban areas. The minister also said the government planned options for middle-class families. He explained that officials were preparing G+3 and G+4 housing designs for urban centres.

The minister said the state currently had 3.82 lakh houses under construction. These units cover three different models. He added that central funds would go directly to beneficiaries’ accounts. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the government aimed to finish ongoing work and expand access to new housing programmes.
