Hyderabad: Nominated posts filling by March 15 would be completed in Telangana, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said on Thursday after a meeting with Congress senior leaders.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, he said Congress high command leaders had met all Telangana ministers. The discussions, he added, focused on party organisation and the implementation of welfare schemes in the State.
He further said that Rahul Gandhi had congratulated the party over the results of recent by-elections and local body polls. According to him, the people had blessed the party as they were benefiting from welfare measures.
Goud claimed that 80 per cent of the people in the State had extended support to the party. He stated that Rahul Gandhi had also enquired about the modalities of the integrated schools policy in Telangana.
Nominated posts filling by March 15 discussed at Congress meeting
Reiterating the timeline, Goud said nominated posts filling by March 15 would be taken up as announced. He maintained that the party leadership was committed to completing the process within the stipulated period.
He also said that the issue concerning Rajagopal Reddy was discussed during the meeting. The TPCC chief clarified that the party would soon invite Rajagopal Reddy for talks to resolve the matter.
