Hyderabad: The Nizamabad boy kidnapping case ended safely after police traced the woman who allegedly took the child. The boy had gone missing from a government hospital after a woman lured him with the promise of chocolate.
The child belonged to Kosadi Naresh and Sandhya of Nagapur village in Balkonda mandal. The couple already had two children, while Sandhya had come to the hospital for delivery during her latest pregnancy.
Meanwhile, the incident occurred on Saturday after the family had finished lunch at the hospital. Sandhya went to the tap to wash her hands when an unidentified woman approached the two children.
The woman reportedly told the children that she would buy them chocolate. Both children then went with her. During this time, the woman took Devansh away in an auto.
The elder son later returned and informed his father and grandmother about what had happened. Naresh searched the areas around the hospital for the child, but could not find him.
Following this, the family approached the police and lodged a complaint. Police registered a case and formed teams to search for the missing child.
Nizamabad boy kidnapping case solved within 48 hours
Police traced and apprehended the accused woman within 48 hours of the kidnapping. Subsequently, officers recovered the child and handed him over to his family.
The police took the woman into custody and began questioning her. Meanwhile, the safe recovery of the child brought the search operation to an end.
The Nizamabad boy kidnapping case was therefore brought to a safe conclusion after police action. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident was continuing.
