Hyderabad: Narsingi police arrested a private employee for allegedly performing an ORR stunt drive at speeds exceeding 200 kmph and uploading the video on Instagram.
Police identified the accused as a 32-year-old resident of Puppalaguda. According to investigators, he drove his newly purchased Volkswagen Virtus at high speed on the Outer Ring Road between Narsingi and TGPA toll plazas.
Officials said the accused recorded the stunt while driving and later uploaded the video on Instagram using the name “Yashwanth Reddy”.
Police stated that the accused endangered commuters and toll plaza staff through reckless driving on the expressway. Following the incident, Narsingi police registered a case under Sections 125 and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
ORR stunt drive video leads to arrest in Hyderabad
During the investigation, police seized the vehicle involved in the incident. Officials said dangerous driving and stunt videos posed a serious threat to public safety.
Narsingi police warned motorists against rash driving and performing stunts for social media content. They also cautioned that authorities would take strict legal action against individuals posting such videos online.
Police continued further investigation into the ORR stunt drive case on Sunday.
