Model Schools admission test held across Telangana

Hyderabad: The Model Schools admission test was conducted across Telangana on Sunday in two sessions, with thousands of students appearing.

According to an official press note issued by the School Education Department, the exam took place on April 19 for the academic year 2026–27.

Officials conducted the test for Class VI students in the forenoon session from 10 am to 12 noon. Meanwhile, they held the exam for Classes VII to X in the afternoon session from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Model Schools admission test sees over 37,000 applicants

A total of 37,216 students applied for the examination across the state. Of them, 30,526 students appeared, while 6,690 remained absent.

The overall attendance stood at 82.02 per cent. Class-wise attendance ranged from 77.78 per cent in Class X to 83.66 per cent in Class VII.

Officials said authorities conducted the examination smoothly without any major issues.
