Rao raises MLC voter registration at Mann Ki Baat event
On the occasion, Rao also highlighted the voter registration process for the upcoming elections to two Graduates’ MLC constituencies in Telangana. These are Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda.
According to him, eligible graduates who completed their degrees by October 31, 2023, must register as voters before November 6. They must submit Form-18 for this, as per Election Commission of India guidelines. Additionally, he clarified that even those who voted in previous elections must apply afresh for inclusion in the electoral rolls. Rao urged eligible graduates to register in large numbers and strengthen the democratic process.
Meanwhile, BJP Telangana co-in-charge and MP Rekha Sharma criticised the Congress. She alleged that the party was attempting to destabilise democratic systems and constitutional institutions. According to Sharma, the Congress was doing this through conspiracies to divide the country and society along caste and religious lines.
