KTR slams Revanth Reddy for handing Kaleshwaram probe to CBI, tags Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday hit out at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for handing the Kaleshwaram corruption case to the CBI. In a sharp tweet, KTR tagged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and accused the party of double standards.

“CBI is the BJP’s ‘Opposition Elimination Cell.’ Yet your Chief Minister in Telangana is now giving the Kaleshwaram case to the same CBI. Mr. Rahul Gandhi, do you know what your CM is doing? No matter how many conspiracies you weave, we will fight legally and politically. We have complete faith in the judiciary and in the people. Satyameva Jayate,” KTR posted on X.

KTR tags Rahul Gandhi with old tweet

To underscore his point, KTR attached a past tweet by Rahul Gandhi in which the Congress leader had criticised the CBI, IT and ED as tools of the Centre. He questioned why the Telangana Congress government was now depending on the same agency.

The post has since gone viral and added to the political storm over the government’s decision to transfer the high-profile Kaleshwaram case to the CBI.
