KTR slams Congress for failing on promises, cites fee reimbursement and urea crisis

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao attacked the Congress government on Monday, calling it a complete failure in delivering promises. He addressed booth committee cadres of Vengalrao Nagar division at Telangana Bhavan during the Jubilee Hills bypoll campaign.

KTR said Congress left ₹20,000 crore dues under fee reimbursement before Telangana was formed. He claimed BRS cleared those dues after coming to power. In contrast, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka recently admitted the state had no money for fee reimbursement, a remark KTR described as laughable.

KTR targets govt on urea, education and governance

According to KTR, voters believed Congress promises during the elections but soon realised the betrayal. He argued that the government failed to keep any commitment. Alleging a severe urea shortage across the state, he accused Congress leaders of diverting stocks into the black market.

The BRS leader targeted Miryalaguda MLA by saying the legislator’s gunmen moved urea in trucks. He added that if gunmen carried stocks, the MLA himself must be hoarding them in warehouses. KTR also claimed Congress would not win a single seat in the ORR region.

People, he said, had already understood Congress misrule in just 23 months. He accused the government of refusing to release fee reimbursement dues, leaving private colleges across Telangana close to closure.
