Hyderabad: Government Whip Aadi Srinivas on Tuesday launched a direct attack on BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, accusing him of panicking despite outward defiance over the Formula E case.
Speaking to reporters, Srinivas questioned why KTR would fear arrest if he had done nothing wrong. He criticised KTR for referring to the case as a “trivial matter,” saying it showed false bravado while hiding internal fear.
Srinivas said the recent public mandate had confined the Kalvakuntla family to farmhouse politics and alleged that BRS MLAs had abandoned public service while grappling with legal troubles. He questioned the celebratory scenes outside the ACB office on Monday, where BRS cadres welcomed KTR with firecrackers after his questioning.
“Is there reason to celebrate just because he wasn’t arrested?” Srinivas asked. He mocked the public display of affection by party members, calling it royal treatment for the accused.
He accused KTR of damaging Telangana’s reputation and said someone in his position should be ashamed of the situation, not boastful.
