KTR says Jubilee Hills verdict will decide Revanth Reddy’s future

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) said on Sunday that the Jubilee Hills by-election verdict would determine the political future of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He accused the Congress of misusing public money and warned that denying people their rightful benefits would have consequences.

KTR slams Congress for alleged misuse of public funds

Speaking at a BRS roadshow in Yousufguda, KTR criticised the state government for cancelling welfare schemes. “Is it your father’s money to cancel benefits meant for the people?” he asked. He warned that if public funds aren’t used properly, the BRS would take action to ensure they reach the rightful beneficiaries.

He alleged that the Congress spent ₹250 crore to influence voters in Jubilee Hills. “They’re distributing ₹6,000 in Sheikhpet, ₹5,000 in Yousufguda, ₹4,000 in Erragadda, and another ₹6,000 in Borabanda,” he claimed. However, KTR said lower-level Congress leaders were taking commissions and giving only ₹2,000 per family.

“This money will last only four days,” he cautioned. “Don’t be swayed. Think long-term about your lives.”

Voter intimidation and frustration in Congress, says KTR

KTR alleged that Congress supporters were threatening voters ahead of polling. “They’re acting like rowdies even before winning. Imagine what they’ll do if they actually win,” he said.

He mocked the Congress campaign, noting that 14 ministers were deployed in one constituency even though internal surveys reportedly pointed to a loss. Taking aim at the Chief Minister, he said, “Revanth Reddy is running around with his legs tied.”

KTR calls bypoll a referendum on CM’s leadership

Calling the bypoll a direct test of the Chief Minister’s popularity, KTR said the Congress campaign’s desperation reflected fear of losing. He accused Revanth Reddy of targeting BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, a widow, to gain political ground.

“He’s making wild statements because he’s rattled,” KTR said. He urged voters to support BRS and send a clear message to the Congress government. “The outcome in Jubilee Hills will decide the CM’s future,” he concluded.
