Police recently visited Minister Konda Surekha’s house to arrest her former Officer on Special Duty, Sumanth. The visit sparked tension and public debate. Sushmitha, the minister’s daughter, confronted the officers and questioned why they came without notice.

During the exchange, she made sharp comments against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. She alleged that Rohin Reddy arrived with a gun supplied by the Chief Minister. Sushmitha also accused Revanth Reddy, Minister Ponguleti, and MLA Vem Narender Reddy of targeting her mother because she belongs to the BC community. Later, she clarified that her family had not threatened anyone.

Konda Surekha explained the issue to AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan. She also met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Diwali day to present her version. Even after that meeting, tensions remained. On Thursday, Surekha issued a public apology and said the matter should now end.
