Komuravelli railway station works reviewed by SCR GM

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar said the railway would soon introduce services for devotees visiting the Komuravelli Mallanna temple. During his inspection on Friday, he noted that the new Komuravelli railway station on the Manoharabad–Kothapalli broad-gauge line would give direct rail access to pilgrims. He also reviewed the ongoing works at the site while travelling through the Secunderabad–Siddipet section. After assessing the progress, he asked officials to speed up construction so the project could meet its target schedule.

The inspection covered tracks, bridges and signalling systems along several points in the section. Kumar moved through key stations to check their readiness. At Siddipet, he examined passenger facilities, including the station master’s office, the circulating area and the relay room. He then continued toward the Siddipet–Sircilla stretch, where new track work is underway. Senior officers from the zone and the division joined him throughout the review and briefed him on safety parameters.

Komuravelli railway station works progress on schedule

Kumar said the new station would ease travel for devotees heading to the Komuravelli Mallanna shrine. He pointed out that the Manoharabad–Kothapalli line would improve regional connectivity and support daily travel needs. To maintain progress, he urged teams to complete civil and technical components without delays.

Officials explained that the final phases would involve testing, safety checks and commissioning. They added that platforms, the station building and related amenities were nearing completion. These works, they said, would help prepare the Komuravelli railway station for operational readiness within the planned timeframe.
