Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) lacks the ability to lead and predicted that the BRS will soon break into five groups. He addressed reporters at the Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district collectorate on Monday.
Venkat Reddy recalled that when he entered politics as an MLA for the first time, KTR was still studying in Guntur. “BRS will split into five parts,” he said. “KCR will head the BRS Pensioners’ Association. After that, we’ll see BRS-H, BRS-KTR, BRS-S, BRS-Himanshu, and who knows what name Kavitha will take,” he said with sarcasm.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy BRS split remarks fuel political tensions
Venkat Reddy accused Kavitha, Harish Rao, and Santosh Rao of looting funds under the Kaleshwaram project. “Even Ramanna warned them to act carefully,” he said. “KTR never cared for the people with low-income or thought of their welfare. Talking about him is meaningless,” he added.
Moreover, Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy joined the Minister during the interaction. He said Congress leaders had filed a case against BRS members for their remarks. “They call others thieves while indulging in corruption themselves,” he said. “People have seen through their hypocrisy.”
Congress claims people rejected BRS leadership
Kiran Kumar Reddy said voters had already turned away from KCR. “In 2023, people sent KCR back to his farmhouse,” he said. “They gave BRS zero seats in the MP elections and rejected it in the Cantonment polls. In Jubilee Hills, too, BRS will face the same fate,” he added confidently.
Furthermore, he said the Congress government focuses on governance rooted in public welfare. “We are reviewing every major issue because people’s concerns come first,” he said. “Our goal is to rebuild Telangana through transparency and accountability.”
Venkat Reddy concluded that the Congress government stands united while the BRS is collapsing under internal pressure. “The people of Telangana can now see the difference between service and self-interest,” he said.
