Kishan Reddy refutes claims of hindering Telangana projects, asserting his commitment to the state’s development.

HYDERABAD: Union Minister Kishan Reddy has strongly refuted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s allegations that he is obstructing development projects in Telangana. Addressing the media at the BJP party office in Nampally on Saturday, Kishan Reddy criticised the Chief Minister’s remarks, calling them unrestrained and lacking understanding.

Commitment to Telangana’s Development

Kishan Reddy asserted that he has consistently worked with the central government to secure funds for Telangana’s progress. He stated that during his tenure, projects worth ₹10 lakh crore have been initiated in the state with central assistance.

The Union Minister also accused the Congress-led state government of failing to implement the six guarantees promised during the elections. He suggested that their attacks on the BJP were a mere attempt to divert public attention from their shortcomings.

Response to Metro and Musi River Allegations

Countering Revanth Reddy’s claims that he was obstructing major projects, including Hyderabad Metro expansion and Musi River cleaning, Kishan Reddy challenged the Chief Minister to specify exactly what he has blocked. He maintained that he is not engaging in intimidation politics and has never threatened anyone for criticizing him.

“I am not so irrational as to hinder the state’s development,” he stated, emphasizing that he remains committed to Telangana’s growth.
Political Tensions in Telangana

The exchange follows Revanth Reddy’s statements at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, where the Chief Minister accused Kishan Reddy and the central government of acting against Telangana’s interests. He claimed that funds were being disproportionately allocated to states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, while neglecting Telangana despite its significant contributions.

This verbal dispute between the two leaders highlights the growing political tensions in Telangana, with both sides blaming each other for hindering the state’s development.
