Kishan Reddy accuses KCR family of corruption feud, says Telangana needs BJP’s ‘double engine’ governance
Hyderabad: Union Minister and BJP’s Telangana President Kishan Reddy on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the KCR family, accusing them of feuding over ill-gotten wealth allegedly amassed through years of corruption in state projects.
Addressing party workers at a workshop held at the BJP office, Kishan Reddy alleged that members of the KCR family—namely K.T. Rama Rao, K. Kavitha, and T. Harish Rao—had been at loggerheads for days over the division of illicit gains. He claimed that from 2014 to 2023, during K. Chandrashekar Rao’s tenure as Chief Minister, the state saw widespread corruption in projects like Kaleshwaram and several others, amounting to thousands of crores of rupees.
“This money has become a bone of contention within the family,” he declared, insisting that internal rifts have paralysed the BRS party while KCR himself is left powerless.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Kishan Reddy described him as a visionary who has put India firmly on the path of development. “There’s no comparing the Congress government’s track record with that of the BJP,” he said. “While Congress is steeped in corruption, the BJP has always worked for the nation’s progress and people’s welfare.”
Highlighting the Centre’s support, Kishan Reddy said that in the past 11 years of BJP rule, Telangana had received significant assistance for its growth. “But thanks to the collusion between BRS and Congress, Telangana now finds itself drowning in debt. It’s time to bring the state out of this crisis,” he said, stressing the need for a ‘double engine’ government, the BJP at both the Centre and in the state, to ensure comprehensive development.

Kishan Reddy also alleged that Congress’s high command has been funnelling funds from Telangana to other parts of the country. “Only the BJP can truly deliver progress for Telangana,” he said, predicting a BJP victory in the upcoming elections. “People will vote against Congress’s failures and BRS’s corruption.”
