HYDERABAD: Union Minister and BJP Telangana President G. Kishan Reddy has criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress government for failing to deliver on their electoral promises. Speaking during the MLC election campaign in Warangal on Sunday, he stated, “Spewing venom at Prime Minister Modi and the Centre will not help evade their failures.” He warned that the BJP would hold the Congress accountable at every step.
Kishan Reddy alleged that the Congress government has neglected its commitments, including providing two lakh jobs to the unemployed, ₹2,500 assistance to women, increased pensions for the elderly, widows, and differently-abled, Rythu Bharosa, new ration cards, fee reimbursements, and loan waivers. He suggested that CM Revanth Reddy’s remarks about the Prime Minister’s caste were a diversion from these unfulfilled promises.
He further criticised Congress leaders for taking credit for filling vacancies from notifications issued by the previous government. Urging voters to teach the Congress a lesson in the MLC elections, he expressed confidence that the BJP flag would soon fly high in the state.
Mocking the Chief Minister’s frequent visits to Delhi, Kishan Reddy commented, “No other state’s Chief Minister goes to Delhi every week. He is marking attendance to secure his seat.” He accused Revanth Reddy of speaking thoughtlessly, merely echoing Rahul Gandhi’s words.
Reflecting on the public’s dissatisfaction with a decade of BRS rule, he noted that people gave Congress a chance, but now it seems to be following the same path as the BRS.
