Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) held a key meeting with senior party leaders at his Erravalli residence to discuss the Jubilee Hills bypoll.

Former ministers Harish Rao, Jagadish Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Sunitha Laxma Reddy, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and Vemula Prashanth Reddy were among those present. Several MLAs, MLCs, and other senior leaders also attended the meeting.

KCR reviewed the latest political developments in the constituency, recent inductions, and the party’s campaign style. Sources said he sought detailed feedback from the local leadership and assessed ground-level preparedness for the upcoming contest.

The bypoll was necessitated by the death of sitting MLA Maganti Gopinath. The BRS fielded his wife, Sunitha Gopinath, as its candidate. Over the past few days, party legislators, MLCs, and former representatives have intensified their campaign across the constituency.

With the nomination scrutiny process completed, KCR convened the meeting on Thursday to finalise the campaign roadmap. He instructed party leaders to step up outreach efforts and increase the intensity of public meetings as polling day approaches.
