Hyderabad: TRS chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Thursday alleged that the state government had failed to complete key Muharram arrangements despite the holy month being less than two weeks away.
In a post on X, Kavitha said only 12 days remained for Muharram. She expressed concern over what she described as the lack of visible preparations by the government.
According to Kavitha, authorities have not conducted review meetings to assess readiness for the annual observance.
The TRS leader claimed that officials had not finalised several crucial arrangements for the historic Bibi Ka Alam procession.
Muharram arrangements pending across Telangana
She specifically pointed to the pending arrangement of the elephant used during the traditional procession.
Kavitha also alleged that the government had not cleared support and sanctions for 11,836 Ashoorkhanas across Telangana.
She urged the government to act without delay and complete the remaining Muharram arrangements.
The former MLC said timely preparations were essential to ensure a smooth, dignified and respectful observance of Muharram across the state.
With just 12 days left for the holy month of Muharram, it is deeply concerning that the State Government has not initiated any visible preparations.
No review meetings have been conducted. Even crucial arrangements including the elephant for the historic Bibi Ka Alam procession…
