Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha criticised the Congress government over employee promises, alleging failure to implement key assurances.
Kavitha made the remarks in a post on social media platform X. She said the government had not fulfilled any promises made to employees, teachers and workers after coming to power.
She pointed out that the Congress had promised to implement PRC within six months. However, she said the government has not acted on it so far.
Employee promises include PRC, OPS and pending dues, says Kavitha
Kavitha also criticised the government for not scrapping the Contributory Pension Scheme and restoring the Old Pension Scheme as promised. In addition, she alleged that the employee health scheme remains unimplemented.
She said the government has not cleared retirement dues and medical reimbursements. Moreover, she questioned the delay in releasing five pending dearness allowance instalments.
Kavitha announced that Telangana Jagruthi will extend full support to protests planned by employees, teachers and workers across the state during lunch hours.
She said the organisation will continue its fight for employees’ demands. She urged the government to respond and resolve pending issues without further delay.
