Kavitha alleges fake MoUs behind Congress investment claims

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday alleged that the Congress government’s claims of attracting large-scale investments were false and based on fake and misleading MoUs.

At a press conference held at the Telangana Jagruthi office in Banjara Hills, Kavitha said many companies highlighted by the government lacked basic credentials. Several firms, she noted, did not even have proper websites or verifiable business records.

According to her, the party’s internal review raised serious doubts about the authenticity of these companies. She alleged that the investment claims were meant to mislead the public.

Kavitha questions investment claims and calls for youth movement

Calling for public action, Kavitha urged Telangana’s youth to launch a social media campaign under the hashtag “Congress Fake MoUs.” She said the initiative should expose the truth behind the government’s announcements.

At the same time, she demanded clarity on how much real investment had entered the state. She also asked how many jobs were created and how many were genuinely promised.

Law and order, women’s safety under fire

Turning to law and order, Kavitha said Hyderabad had witnessed a rise in fire accidents and crimes. Several incidents, she added, resulted in the loss of lives.

However, she alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy failed to express concern or offer condolences. Such silence, she said, was unacceptable.

Expressing concern over women’s safety, Kavitha said the city recorded 69 murders and 176 attempted murders in the past year. She claimed gun-related crimes were also increasing.

Referring to the attack on excise constable Soumya, she criticised the chief minister’s lack of response. She demanded that excise and forest department staff be provided with weapons for self-protection.

Investment figures, phone tapping case, future plans

Citing investment claims, Kavitha referred to Trump Media & Technology Group. She said the company claimed ₹1 lakh crore investment despite having a much lower market value.

She announced that Telangana Jagruthi would release details of such companies on social media. Transparency, she said, was necessary.

On the phone tapping case, Kavitha demanded a fast and transparent probe. She recalled that she had cooperated earlier with ED and CBI investigations.

Alleging deliberate delay, she asked why the case had not progressed for two years. She said political “match-fixing” was the reason.

Concluding, Kavitha said Telangana Jagruthi would continue its struggle on public issues. She announced that the Janmabhoomi Bata programme would restart after February 20.
