Kamareddy: A 30-year-old man died by suicide in Pedda Mallareddy village of Bhiknoor mandal in Kamareddy district on Friday, reportedly distressed that his wife was not returning to live with him. The man was identified as Matti Raju.
Raju married Sabitha of Domakonda mandal 18 years ago. Following family disputes, Sabitha left four years ago for her parental home, taking their son with her. Raju had reportedly been in low spirits since then, and he died by suicide near his house.
Police register case, body sent for postmortem
Acting on a complaint from the bereaved family, police registered a case. Sub-Inspector Anil said the body was shifted to the mortuary of the Kamareddy district headquarters hospital for a postmortem examination.
