K-Harmony Festa to showcase India-South Korea culture in Hyderabad on October 25

Hyderabad: Hyderabad will host an international cultural festival on October 25 to strengthen cultural ties between India and South Korea. The Korean Cultural Center India (KCCI) and the Telangana Government’s Department of Tourism and Culture are jointly organising K-Harmony Festa-2026, also marked as Korean Culture Day. The event will take place at Shilpa Kalavedika in Madhapur under the theme ‘One Light, Two Cities’.

The festival will showcase art forms that reflect the ancient and contemporary cultures of both countries. The Perini dance, thrilling drumming and other local folk performances will be special attractions.

Korean acts will also take the stage. Performers will present Daekyung Taekwondo martial arts exercises and the Olsigu traditional dance. The programme also features an Atti classic vocal crossover, Deeper instrumental music and Ayuni classical performances. South Korean K-pop boy band NTX will perform live, which organisers expect to excite the youth.

Minister says cultural exchange will boost tourism

State Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said such international festivals will greatly improve mutual understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries. He said the government is continuously working to promote Telangana’s historical heritage and art forms worldwide.

The minister expressed hope that these exchange programmes will help Hyderabad gain recognition as an international cultural hub. He said they will also give a significant boost to Telangana’s tourism sector. Local artists, he added, will get rare opportunities at the international level.
