Hyderabad: Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu on Thursday unveiled a Kalavedika special souvenir at the Secretariat to mark the organisation’s 60th anniversary.
The publication was brought out in memory of former Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker late Duddilla Sripada Rao. This highlights his long association with the cultural organisation.
Kalavedika was founded in the 1960s by R.V. Ramanamurthy, a close associate of Sripada Rao. Since then, it has regularly organised cultural programmes across the region.
Sripada Rao maintained a strong association with the group. He also served as its president for nearly two decades, contributing to its growth and activities.
Kalavedika special souvenir marks legacy
On the occasion, Kalavedika monthly magazine editor Bhuvana Rayavarapu presented the first copy of the Kalavedika special souvenir to the Minister. Members Kommaraju Ravikumar and Puttamraju Sitaram were also present.
The event marked six decades of the organisation’s cultural contributions. Organisers said the publication documented its history and key milestones.
