Jagtial schools holiday declared due to heavy rains

Hyderabad: The Jagtial district administration declared a Jagtial schools holiday for all schools on Thursday (July 30) following heavy rain across the district. District Education Officer (DEO) Ramu said the decision was taken on the instructions of the District Collector.

The holiday applies to schools under all managements. However, officials announced that the second Saturday will be observed as a working day to compensate for the lost academic day.

Authorities advised residents to remain alert as heavy rain continued across the district. They also urged people to avoid unnecessary travel and follow safety precautions.

Training continues despite Jagtial schools holiday

Meanwhile, DEO Ramu clarified that scheduled training programmes would continue as planned. Therefore, officials asked participants to attend the sessions according to the existing timetable.

The district administration also warned people not to take shelter under trees during rainfall because of safety risks. Furthermore, authorities advised residents to step outdoors only when absolutely necessary until weather conditions improve.

The administration said it will continue monitoring the situation and issue further instructions if heavy rainfall persists.
