Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police announced major IPL traffic curbs around Uppal ahead of the Indian Premier League match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 22.
The match will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal.
Police said heavy traffic congestion was expected from noon till midnight on routes connecting Nagole, Habsiguda, Boduppal, Amberpet and Ramanthapur through Uppal Junction.
Authorities imposed diversions for heavy vehicles, including trucks, tippers, private buses and water tankers.
Traffic police advised commuters to avoid Uppal stretches and use alternate routes during match hours.

Police urged spectators to use Metro Rail and RTC buses to reach the stadium and reduce traffic congestion.
Officials arranged special parking facilities at Penguin Parking, TGIALA Parking, open grounds near the NSL Building and the Modern Bakery area.
Authorities identified five major parking locations for the IPL match.
Out of these, four parking locations are outside the stadium within a 500-metre radius for public use.
Another parking area inside the stadium has been reserved exclusively for VVIP and VIP pass holders.
The Traffic-II wing of Malkajgiri Police issued the advisory on Wednesday.
