Hyderabad: Indiramma housing refund for applicants who did not secure homes in the lottery will begin on Wednesday, Housing Board vice-chairman V.P. Gautam said. The board will return the EMD paid by unsuccessful applicants within a week.
The Housing Board had collected ₹10,000 as the earnest money deposit from applicants seeking Indiramma homes. Applicants who paid the amount online will not need to submit a separate refund request.
Instead, the board will credit the money to the same bank account used for the original payment. Gautam said officials had identified some applicants who paid the EMD in cash through MeeSeva centres.
Those applicants will have to apply separately for their refunds. Accordingly, they must submit their applications through the Housing Board’s official website by September 10.
Indiramma housing refund process set for cash payments
Applicants who paid the EMD in cash through MeeSeva centres must apply for a refund by September 10. The Housing Board will process these claims as part of the refund exercise.
Meanwhile, officials are still verifying the details of beneficiaries selected through the lottery. Gautam said the verification would take a few more days to complete.
Applicants can contact the Housing Board on 040-24603572 if they have questions about the scheme. In addition, the board continues to accept applications for Indiramma housing towers in Chandrayangutta, LB Nagar, Musheerabad and Goshamahal constituencies.
The Housing Board has set September 10 as the final date for applications in these four constituencies. Therefore, applicants seeking homes under the ongoing process must submit their applications by the deadline.
The refund process for unsuccessful lottery applicants will start on Wednesday, while beneficiary verification and applications in the four constituencies will continue until September 10.
