Indiramma houses to be given to all eligible without bias: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Sunday announced that Indiramma housing will be provided to all eligible families in the next three and a half years, with no political discrimination.

Speaking at a review meeting in Karimnagar, he said the selection process would be handled by Indiramma Committees to ensure full transparency. “The allotment will be strictly on merit, not party lines,” he said.

He also urged farmers to diversify beyond paddy and warned of stringent action against those dealing in fake seeds. Field-level inspections have been mandated to curb the menace.

Sridhar Babu highlighted the government’s priority on education, health, and agriculture under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He said officials and Collectors must actively support this agenda.

He noted improvements in government school enrollment and praised teachers and officials for their efforts. He encouraged public representatives to promote the Badi Bata campaign.

Special teacher training programmes are already underway to improve teaching standards, he added.

Collectors have been asked to coordinate closely with MLAs on enrollment and school infrastructure. Sridhar Babu also directed the Collector to inspect Jyothiba Phule Gurukulam in Karimnagar and report on its condition.
