HIMTEX 2026 opens in Hyderabad with 300 exhibitors

Hyderabad: The ninth edition of the Hyderabad International Machine Tool & Engineering Exhibition opened at HITEX Exhibition Centre in Madhapur, with around 300 exhibitors participating in the five-day event.

HIMTEX 2026 Hyderabad brought together companies from the manufacturing and engineering sectors to showcase new technologies and industrial solutions.

The exhibition opened on Thursday and will continue until August 24. Organisers expected more than 20,000 visitors from across India during the five days. The event showcased developments in machine tools, robotics, industrial automation, engineering solutions and smart manufacturing technologies.

Swathi Chalamalasetty, director of Ace Urban Group and AM Green, inaugurated the exhibition along with Rajesh Kumar Yadav. Yadav served as additional director of MSME DFO, Hyderabad.

Chalamalasetty said the manufacturing sector was entering a transformative phase. Automation, digitalisation and advanced engineering technologies were driving the changes, she said. She added that HIMTEX provided industries with a platform to explore practical solutions and emerging technologies.

The exhibition brought a wide range of manufacturing equipment and engineering systems under one roof. It also provided an opportunity for participants to examine technologies aimed at modernising industrial operations.

HITEX director Kuna Shankar said HIMTEX had evolved into a significant industrial exhibition. He said the event promoted technology transfer, knowledge sharing and collaboration among industry participants.

Moreover, Shankar said the exhibition contributed to strengthening the manufacturing ecosystem in Telangana and neighbouring states.

HIMTEX 2026 Hyderabad showcases advanced equipment

The exhibition featured CNC machines and machining centres among its key displays. Exhibitors also showcased electrical discharge machines, or EDMs, along with presses and metal-forming equipment.

Other exhibits included milling and grinding machines used in different manufacturing processes. Industrial robots formed another major segment of the exhibition. In addition, participants displayed welding and cutting systems designed for industrial applications.

The event also featured measuring instruments and cutting tools. Hydraulics and pneumatic systems were among the other technologies showcased at HIMTEX 2026 Hyderabad.

The exhibition combined these products with other advanced manufacturing technologies and engineering solutions. Consequently, visitors could examine equipment covering several stages of modern industrial production.

With around 300 exhibitors and more than 20,000 visitors expected, the five-day event brought together manufacturing companies, technology providers and engineering-sector participants at HITEX in Madhapur.
